Alice's Personal Pictures With Costume And Makeup Tips
"Alice"
The Halloween Nut"
What do you do with a sister in law that looks like this and is as crazy about Halloween as you are ?
You stick her in a lawn chair and then cover her with a dishwasher box. Then you sit back and eat all the candy because she can't reach it now. !!!!
"Pumpkin's Leaf Mary"
Which way is the yellow brick road ? Don't know well I don't care. I have scared more people in this rag of a costume than most horror movies. Its been a hit for over 30 years now. (AND LOOKS IT)
Is the whole family crazy?  Yes it is; this is my nephew, can't you see the family resemblance ?
If you think these pictures are scary you should see the one in my mirror each morning!!!

This little guy or girl is hanging between my house and the neighbors this year it is about 6" to 8" round including it's legs. It is an orb weaver, see it's beautiful web. This beauty is NOT poisonous it's name is the GOLDEN SILK SPIDER because it spins a golden colored web. But what is so neat is it's stomach bottom shown here has a skull design on it and the spider's body on the back is also gold colored.

Haunted porch and makeup tips
Green lights are sometimes better than black ones on homemade fog from machine or dry ice in water. Quilt batting makes great spider webs. stronger than ones you buy and will pull out longer without tearing and wears good in wet weather or wind. For tomb stones Foam board insulation is cheap at building supply store less than 5.00 for about four long ones, (MAKES EIGHT STONES) If you use spray paint on the edges it will melt the foam some to look like stone.  Use only a little OUTSIDE WITHOUT KIDS SUPERVISION!! this is a chemical reaction!!! USE CAUTION...
Makeup tips ...sunken eyes- old looking-bruising
Use blue, green, pink, purple, brown eye shadow for sunken in eyes or for bruising. Use eye liner in natural face creases (okay wrinkles) This is the only time of year you want to emphasize them.

for cuts-severed heads...and....or moles/warts
First make a fake bruise then use eye liner line with a few cross marks or lines going sideways across main line then add either fake blood or better yet red nail polish or red lip stick patted on main line to look like a bleeding cut.   .....For warts or moles you can use a small ball of cotton mixed with elmer's school glue SEMI DRY stuck on your ? what ever. ..then add makeup for color, if you want hair just pull out a tiny bit of the cotton ..looks soooo real.

Costumes....
Ugly is in ...shabby, dirty, dusty, holes, tears, patches all makes it look real. Ever seen a ghoul climb out of a grave clean and store bought looking? NOOOOO! Use old sheets, old curtains old bed spreads and old shoes with holes are good . Stockings falling down, socks that are falling down.
THINK OLD DEAD PEOPLE AND YOU HAVE IT RIGHT.  Why just look at me.
Remember use your immagination or Look at an old horror movie.

Alice is proud to announce this Halloween 2006 we will have an additional little face in our pictures. My new little Granddaughter CIARA born May 2006
I allowed my sister in law, Mary,  to get out of her box this year.  She was Grandma and Little Red Riding Hood, Lilly Jewel,  was her first grandbaby; enjoying her first Halloween at Aunt Alice's house.  My Oldest Granddaughter is on left, Savannah, middle Granddaughter, Robin, on right and Great Nephew, Dalton, on the bottom.
Alice's big brother also got into the act  with his Grandson Dalton, and my two granddaughters.
Nephew crawled out of his box also this year to show his true self and show off his bride;  Lilly Jewel's parents.

This proves what I have been saying, Halloween is for good family fun!  And most decorations can be homemade or can be a combination of cheap props from the dollar store.  Old masks and fall decorations. This junk has been saved and reused for close to 30 years for some of it. It looks it also, which makes it look more spooky!  And don't forget your fog machine!!!!!
My Friends...   SWAN with his beautiful family at Halloween 2006.

2007 Halloween
Purchased Jason at the Halloween Spirit Store he is over 6 foot tall, moves and plays music from the movie and swings his knife. His eyes look VERY REAL, his mask comes off to reveal the terrible looking Jason face.
Granddaughter Robin, Great Niece Lilly, Granddaughter Savannah
waiting for the sun to set so the fun can begin!
Alice's handsome husband.....
He started out as a goat devil and then turned into a big bad wolf...
BUT ALICE LOVES THE OL' GOAT ANYWAY!
The masks are so large he looked through the mouth areas in order to see out. He is normally 6'3" but with the mask it puts him over 7 foot.
How would you like to meet that at the bottom of a dark foggy driveway?
Miss Ciara Rose K. (ROSE BUD) age 1
Alice's youngest granddaughter

She was busy showing off for the camera, strutting around with one of Granny Alice's pocket books in her new girlie swede shoes. 2007 was her first Halloween and she learned to say Trick or Treat for the occassion.
